1. Set a budget: As the groom, it is important to work with your partner to determine a realistic budget for the wedding and help track expenses.

2. Create a guest list: It isn't solely the responsibility of the bride to create your wedding guest list. Collaborate with your partner to create a list of guests you want to invite to the wedding.

3. Select the wedding date: We sometimes hear brides having to pick wedding dates with their family and friends when the decision is ideally between the soon-to-be bride and groom. Coordinate with your partner to pick a wedding date and time that works for both of you.

4. Support your partner: Your partner is likely to get overwhelmed and that is why it is important to offer emotional support and assistance to your partner throughout the wedding planning process.

5. Confirm details: Double-check and confirm all wedding arrangements with your wedding planner and vendors in the weeks leading up to the wedding.

6. Hire vendors: Participate in the consultation sessions and the selection of various wedding vendors, such as photographers, caterers, florists, and musicians.

7. Create a registry: Help create a wedding gift registry and select items you need or desire for your new life together.

8. Marriage license: Ensure all legal documents, including the marriage license, are obtained and in order.

9. Arrange transportation: Arrange & confirm transportation for you and your wedding party to and from the wedding venue. If you're getting the service of transportation services, ensure your wedding planner is aware and can manage it effectively.

10. Write vows: Collaborate with your partner on writing your wedding vows and ensuring they reflect your feelings and promises.

11. Prepare a speech: Write and practice your wedding speech, which typically includes thanking guests and expressing your love for your partner.

In conclusion, remember that communication and teamwork with your partner are key to a successful wedding planning experience during this planning process.
