The surprise proposal was expertly executed with the help of Love Is Blind castmate Irina Solomonova who was initially engaged with Zack Goytowski. However their encounter on the show was awkward, Zack ended up marrying the beautiful and amazing Bliss Poureetezadi-Goytowski.

In an interesting reality TV connection, Marshall collaborated with Payal and Kajal Vitha of Sonu Company (featured on Netflix's Indian Matchmaking series) to custom design Barnes' dazzling diamond ring.
