Oppenheimer leads the pack with an impressive 13 nominations, closely followed by Poor Things with 11 nods. The announcement on January 23rd brought some surprises, including the absence of Greta Gerwig in the best director category for "Barbie" and no acting nomination for Margot Robbie, despite her producer role in the best picture nominee.
Leonardo DiCaprio, known for his role in "Killers of the Flower Moon," also missed out on an acting nod this year. However, Lily Gladstone made history as the first Native American to be nominated for best actress. America Ferrera secured a best supporting actress nomination for "Barbie," and Justine Triet became the eighth woman nominated for best director with "Anatomy of a Fall."
